12 Little Things You Can Do To Live A Healthier Lifestyle

Lots of people wish that they were healthier, but they don’t want to change their entire lifestyle. However, anyone can make little changes to their lifestyle that will improve their health – and they don’t have to completely change their whole lifestyle!

Here are 2 little things that you can do to live a healthier lifestyle.

  1. Make sure that you get eight hours sleep each night.
  2. Drink more water.
  3. Swap crisps for nuts.
  4. Try to touch your toes every night before bed.
  5. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
  6. Find a type of exercise that you actually enjoy doing.
  7. Swap your coffee for a green tea.
  8. Use a bike instead of a car.
  9. Spend your free time with people who make you happy – not people who make you feel stressed or irate.
  10. Do 20 jumping jacks every morning.
  11. Instead of scrolling through your phone on the couch, scroll through your phone as you take a walk around the block.
  12. Eat your vegetables!

    Awesome post! B-)

A couple of things to add… Even if you do take up some kind of sports or fitness. Learn to stretch!

Don’t be afraid to sing. Better if you can do it where nobody will take the mick… But do it anyway!

BTW… Not everyone needs 8 hours of sleep. I’ve not managed to sleep 8 hours in about 3 decades unless something was wrong with me or I had stayed up far too long.

I totally agree with you about the stretching!

That is very true – I always forget that there are super humans who can somehow function on less sleep 😉 Thank you for reading and commenting!

        Your’re welcome!
I came to knowing about stretching FAR too late in life. B-(
I could have saved myself a lot of years of back pain just by stretching as I do now.
        Oh well… Live and learn!

Do you believe people don’t know or lack self motivation? The list is really great, but my concern is people don’t want to accept any more responsibility including one that improves quality of living.

I agree with your concerns – a lot of people don’t accept responsibility for their own situation/life. It is important to be aware that we are all in control of our own lives!

Always something for everyone in a list like this. #5 reminds me of a university building were multiple classes in my Masters program were held. It’s a tall building … a tower … but a sign my the elevators and the stairways is still stuck in my mind from over 30 years ago …. Walk down 2, walk up 1.

A lot of ppl should defffffinitely swap their coffee for tea bc they put so much sugar in it! And I like your jumping jacks in the morning idea. Something I do every morning is a quick plank :))

Great list, each of these are important! I try most, but I think 9 is the most important place to start.
