5 Ways To Help You To Get The Perfect Work/Life Balance Part 2

Do you struggle to find a good balance between work and play? Many people either work too hard or relax too much, and they struggle to change their lifestyles. If you struggle to find the perfect work/life balance, check out 5 more ways you can find the perfect work balance.

1. Limit your work hours

Working extremely long hours isn’t good for your mental health – or your family’s mental health. However, some people have to work longer hours – maybe they are starting their own business, or they run a company. If this is you, set out your work hours at the beginning of the week. Make sure you work 8 hours at least one day of the week every week – if you work late on the other days, you should have no work issues, and this can be something for your family to rely on.

2. Work with your personal energy

We all have natural energy cycles; some people work better first thing in the morning, while others get all of their best work done during the night. Think about when you are most productive and try to work for a few hours during this time. As you will be feeling extra productive and motivated, you will complete more work than normal during this time, freeing up time at different points in the day.

3. Delegate tasks

If you really struggle to take time off work, you may need to delegate some of your tasks to others. From hiring an assistant at work to paying a cleaner to clean your house once a week, these methods can help you to focus on your most important work while still having some time to yourself.

4. Plan a holiday

No matter how busy you are, you can afford to take a few days off a year through delegating tasks. Time off will relax your body and mind, making you a more efficient worker generally. If you can’t afford to take a week off work, book one day off and make plans with your loved ones for the day. This will help you to enjoy your life while refocusing and recharging.

5. Join a club

If you work so often you struggle to maintain friendships, consider joining a club. This will help you to enjoy your time off while also offering you the opportunity to socialize. There are various clubs, from cooking to swimming – have a look and see if anything takes your fancy!
