5 Great Parts Of Working From Home

Hey everyone!
Today I’m having a big house tidy up. I hate how much effort it takes to make every room look beautiful… and then two days later, there is mess everywhere again! Sometimes my life feels like a never-ending battle with cleaning.

Anyway, today I thought I would write a fun, short piece about four of the best things you experience when you work from home.

1. Feeling Smug When Your Friends Talk About Their Morning Commute
Overcrowded trains? Long queues in coffee shops? For you these are distant memories, instead of daily occurrences. As your friends complain about the pushing and shoving, you sit back and smile as you think about your own commute – a quick walk down the hall, possibly in your pyjamas.
2. Working Without A Dress Code
Forget smart shirts – in fact, forget shirts if you want. Working from home means you can wear whatever you want – so as I mentioned before, probably your pyjamas. Just remember to make your top half presentable if you have a Skype meeting.
3. You Don’t Have To Deal With Office Drama
Working at home means your office isn’t filled with any drama queens – other than maybe the cat. Although you love the lack of stress, you do wonder if you could get away with still throwing a Christmas office party.
4. You Can Always Go Out… Kind Of
Being able to choose your own weekend is pretty freeing. Working from home and setting your own hours means you get to choose when you want to take time off – so you never miss any awesome plans! (Other than when you have an important, looming deadline… Ahem.)

What are your favourite parts of working from home? Comment below and let me know your ideas!

I completely relate! The washing up…it never ends! But as you point out, the benefits of working from home really outweigh any of the bad. I hope one day to be able to do what you do. Thank you for continuing to be something I aspire to 🙂

Hi Dani, I know right, why does cleaning have to be so…eternal?! I’m glad you enjoyed my post. If you want to be self-employed, no doubt you will be eventually 🙂 x
